The expensive problems in a new-build electrical installation are decided in the first year of design and discovered in the last month before delivery. The job is to close that gap.
How a build runs
- Stage 1Concept & specification
Owner requirements turned into a technical specification the yard can price: power philosophy, redundancy, lighting control, AV/IT and networks.
- Stage 2Design review
Yard and supplier drawings checked for compliance, interfaces and maintainability before steel is cut or cable is pulled.
- Stage 3Build supervision
Regular presence at the yard through each stage of construction: installation quality, factory acceptance tests at the suppliers, harbour acceptance tests alongside, change requests and clear reporting to the owner’s team.
- Stage 4Sea trials
Performance and safety trials at sea witnessed against agreed procedures; punch lists closed, not deferred.
- Stage 5Delivery & handover
Regulatory documentation ready, crew briefed, and the systems proven before the first guest steps aboard.
