What I do in a refit
R.01Work list & scopingCondition survey of the existing installation and a work list that separates what must be done from what the yard would like to sell.
R.02Yard liaison & scope controlTechnical counterpart to the yard’s project team: specifications, variations and the decisions that keep the period on programme.
R.03Supervision of electrical packagesInstallation quality on switchgear, distribution, lighting and AV/IT works, with the crew’s maintenance access kept in mind.
R.04Recommissioning & surveySystems tested and returned to service; class and flag surveys prepared for and closed out during the period.
R.05In-service upgradesImprovements that don’t need a yard: lighting-control databases, power-management tuning, network and AV/IT changes done alongside normal operation.

2016 – 2022MY Dilbar, 156 m, LürssenChief ETOKNX lighting database reworked to fix deficiencies in the original design; power management tuned with Wärtsilä to optimise generator load control and cut fuel consumption on a 36 MVA HV plant.
